This month has been incredibly busy! And I'm glad that the expo was successful as the bookings are streaming in for the season between Nov 09 and March 2010! So be sure to book in advance if your wedding date falls in this time frame. And for those who haven't heard, I have a special rate for interested brides- and grooms-to-be. Send a request to ward.taryn@gmail.com and I will forward the special package to you.
Here are some things found on the web in May - Enjoy!

Marijke & William - Cape Farm House
Marijke and William's wedding was one of my favourites to photograph. They were married under a huge tree at the Cape Farm House in Scarborough, which was also the reception venue. The farm is incredibly scenic and makes for a great wedding venue. They had a friend record their day with an old 8mm film camera that made the coolest sound! A polaroid camera and tons of film was supplied to entertain guests with.
They wanted a natural feel to the wedding and didn't want formal poses - so it was great just capturing them walking through the fields and being totally consumed with each other.

Bridal Expo May 2009
It's been just a week after the wedding expo at the CTICC where I had a stand exhibiting my photographic services! I can't express how fantastic the expo was and the overwhelming response from future brides and their partners! Thanks to all who came and I wish you all the best with planning your weddings!
For those who couldn't make it I have supplied some photos from my stand at the expo. More photos are on my facebook group. The flowers in the old tea pot are Lisianthus. The black book is an example of what my coffee table books look like and the photo below is an example of what my fine art books look like. I can also print these fine art books for you for special orders other than weddings!

Second shooter for Christine Meintjes - Liz & Ian
Liz and Ian were married in Villiersdorp and the reception was at Allee Bleue in Franshoek. I helped Christine Meintjes again with this wedding. It was really fun - especially when I helped her to take the photos of the couple in the road between the ceremony and reception venues. Have a look at some of the pictures I helped Christine with and click here to view more on her website.
Second shooter for Christine Meintjes - Hayley&Tristan
Hayley and Tristan's wedding was held at the lovely Lanzerac Hotel in Stellenbosch, and they couldn't have asked for better weather. Christine Meintjes, a fellow photographer, was looking for a second shooter at this wedding so I opted to help her. Have a look at some of the pictures I helped Christine with and click here to view more on her website.
Jenna-lea & Sean - Dornier
Jenna-lea is one of my first friends to have gotten married and it was only a pleasure to have taken her pre-wedding photos of her and her lovely bridesmaids. When I got to her house the whole place was busy with people getting last minute things organised and getting make-up and hair done. After Jen had her hair done she snuck off to type out her vows on an old type writer of theirs - shes very sentimental!
Their wedding that was held at Dornier had a vintage touch from the material used for the cushions as favors for guests to buttons and lace everywhere including a lace imprint on her cake that her granny made! Wow! You guys put so much thought into your wedding day - thanks for letting me be a part of it. (btw: the official photographer was Shanna Jones)
