Salsa Flash Mob!

I was part of something different and fun a few weekends ago - I got to photograph a flash mob! For those that don't know what it is, follow this link to find out. This particular Salsa Flash Mob was put together and organised by Alisar Dance Company to promote and raise awareness for the Mzansi Cape Town Salsa Festival.

An afternoon in Philly

After doing a shoot in Philadelphia recently I decided to explore the town a bit - after all its a small town but with so much character! If you've never had the chance to get to Philadelphia (the Cape Town one - although I wish I were walking around in the US) you are missing out :)

Day trip to Old Phuket Town 

Another one of my must see places was a day trip we took to the other side of the island of Phuket to see the old capital town they call Old Phuket Town. It is just such a beautiful little town with original Sino Portugese style buildings that are a photographers dream spot! I negotiated a fare of 450 Baht with our taxi driver from Patong Beach...he was quite amusing - he couldn't understand why we would want to be dropped off there in the first place, but obliged.

Morning and lunchtime spent in Bangkok and caught a flight to Phuket

Exactly a year ago today on Nelson Mandela's birthday my mom and I set off to Thailand!!! And what an incredible journey it was. We spent 10 unforgettable days in Thailand - 3 nights in Bangkok, 5 nights in Phuket and 2 nights on Phi Phi island. I came home after the trip and had a wedding to shoot and have been non-stop busy since then and have sadly not posted any photos from my trip yet. I thought on the year anniversary was a good a time as any :)

Introducing the beautiful and oh so stylish mom-to-be Natalie! I had the pleasure of taking some fun pictures of Natalie at 36 weeks pregnant with her hubby Brandon in a stunning Autumn setting in Somerset West. They are expecting a little boy and plan to call him Timothy (which also turns out to be my dads name...hehe)!

 This has been an eventful week so far me, first launching my new logo for Taryn Ward Photography (click on the link to view it), introducing a family shoot special (see my facebook page for details) and now blogging my 150th blogpost!! And what a great shoot to get the honor of been number one-five-ohh...a little fashion portrait shoot shot in the country side.
