PERSONAL POST // Life on a farm in Stellenbosch

So a few months ago I decided that I needed a change of scenery for my home and office (which are one and the same) and somewhere that would make my heart happy :) After weeks of searching I found an awesome little cottage on a farm just outside of Stellenbosch that I got to share with two other girls and their two cool cats.

Caitlin + David | Cape Town

So thrilled to finally be sharing this stunning wedding of two special people that I can call friends :) It is that of Caity and Dave and they tied the knot in Cape Town on a hot Summers day that couldn't have been more perfect if they tried. It was so awesome to see Caity all done up and looking exquisite in her wedding gown that fitted like a glove along side her equally dashing groom as they exchanged vows.

 So so happy and thrilled to show off this beautiful wedding that I photographed of Christine + Wesley and to have it featured on the Lovilee website! The team did such a great job of putting the feature together and I am SO grateful to have my work featured :) As a photographer having your work featured is a very nice ego boost and kind of makes you feel like you must be doing something right, right?

Thomas newborn shoot | Hout Bay

Meet baby Thomas! He is an adorable little munchkin and at the time of this shoot he was 7,5 weeks old. He was born on 19 November 2013 at 12:55am.  His gorgeous parents - Joelle and Mike - contacted me to take some maternity photos of Joelle in Oct/Nov last year as she was due to have Thomas in Dec, and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move the shoot date around 2 or 3 times and then started wondering if we had enough time left. Mike then organised a surprise maternity shoot for his wife on a weekend away and I was to meet them there and document it all and a week before the surprise shoot Thomas decided to surprise all of us and arrive early :)

Michele + Bart | Paternoster

Bart and Michele are a stunning and chilled couple residing in Johannesburg and had their intimate wedding on Christmas eve in the equally stunning town of Paternoster - so naturally it was a chilled day with a special ceremony on a secluded part of the beach with only a handful of family and friends in attendance.

Riaan 21st | Stellenbosch

I got to document the birthday celebrations of an awesome guy recently along with his close friends and family. The event was held at the gorgeous Mont Marie in Stellenbosch and the weather held long enough for guests to enjoy dinner before the rain descended upon us.

Christine + Wesley | Hathersage, Somerset West

I'm so excited to share this gorgeous wedding with you all today! It is that of Christine and Wesley Moore that got married at the stunning Hathersage venue in Somerset West, and it was my first wedding in Somerset West after growing up and living there for several years - you can only imagine how ecstatic I was for this wedding :)

I did some second shooting for Nandi Photography the end of last year at a wedding and decided to post some of the pics. It was an unbelievably windy day in the Strand and the bride even lost her veil as she came out of the church! You can see her shots here.

Meet baby Kira | Somerset West

I got to meet this little princess late December last year as well as her adoring parents, Michelle and Christo Zietsman, who are absolutely glowing when they are around their little girl. Little Kira was just 3 weeks old when I came round to photograph her :) Such a precious little girl! 

De Beer family shoot | Lourensford

Meet Ulrich, Candice, Simone and Jaco De Beer! Aren't they just gorgeous! Such a fun family to spend the afternoon with to photograph. We met up mid-December for a family shoot at the scenic Lourensford Estate and the weather treated us well :)
